Mohali, August 16: A delegation of the area villages from Sri Anandpur Sahib demanding the issue of LOI and allotment letters for the land transfer allotment acquired by the Greater Mohali Area Development Authority for the establishment of Aerocity Mohali And former Union Minister Manish Tiwari met. Those who raised the issue of the problems the villagers are facing due to the delay.

Sarpanch, Panch, Lambardar and land owners of various villages of the constituency Manoli, Chon Majra, Saini Majra, Sion, Bari, Bakarpur etc were included in the delegation. Those who alleged that their land was aquired for the establishment of Aerocity Mohali. As a compensation, the scheme to take a plot under a commercial and residential site under a compensation land pooling scheme of around 151 acres was adopted under the compensation land polling scheme. They alleged that LOI letters have been issued as a 100-square-yard commercial site so far. While small landlords with people less than an acre, many of them were not issued LOI letters of commercial space.
The one on which m. P Tiwari said that the people of the constituency will not be allowed to face any problem. They themselves will negotiate with the concerned authorities, so that they can get their due right soon.
On this occasion, among others in the delegation, Manjot Singh Secretary Punjab Youth Congress, Harman Singh Village Manoli, Satbir Singh Lambardar Village Manouli, Sukhbir Singh Village Majra, Gurinder Singh Village Saini Majra, Amar Singh Lambaddar Sin, Jaswant Singh were also present.

Delegation meets MP Tewari over delay in LOI and allotments by GMADA
Mohali, August 16:
A delegation of villages in the area demanding issuance of LOI and allotment letter for allotment of land acquired by Greater Mohali Area Development Authority for setting up of Aerocity Mohali, today met member of Lok Sabha from Sri Anandpur Sahib Manish Tewari and raised the issue of harassment of villagers due to delay.
The delegation included Sarpanch, Panch, Lambardar and landowners of various villages of the constituency like Manouli, Chon Majra, Saini Majra, Sion, Bari, Bakarpur etc. They alleged that 151 acres of land had been acquired for setting up Aerocity Mohali and as a compensation under the Land Pooling Scheme adopted then, a plot under commercial / residential site was to be given. They alleged that so far some LOI letters have been issued for commercial sites of 100 square yards. However, many of the small landowners who own less than one acre have not been issued LOIs for commercial sites.
MP Tewari gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured that the people of the constituency would not be allowed to face any problem. “I will personally take up the matter with the concerned authority so that the people get their due” assured Manish Tewari .
Besides others, Mr. Manjot Singh Secretary Punjab Youth Congress, Mr. Harman Singh from village Manouli, Mr. Satbir Singh Lambardar from village Manouli, Mr. Sukhbir Singh from village Chon Majra, Mr. Gurinder Singh from village Saini Majra, Mr. Amar Singh Lambardar from village Sion and Mr. Jaswant Singh were also present in the delegation.
